Photos are a great way to get people to learn what your fish will look like if your selling fry. So posting photos of the parents is a way to increase sales and get higher prices for your fish.
One of the limitations with a forum is that you can't just paste a photo to your ad, you have to link to it from another internet site such as photobucket.
These are fairly detailed instructions so a new user can be successful. It really is fairly fast to complete.
To make it somewhat easier I have setup a NEOfish account in Photobucket for all to use. You can of course setup your own account too.
Before you go to Photobucket, start your ad in the Forum. Then open up a new tab in your browser and go to Photobucket. NOTE: Clicking the link below automaticly opens up a new tab and takes you to Photobucket.
Link to Photobucket
Log in using NEOfish's account or your own. NEOfish's account is ID is NEOfish2013 Password is neofish
Go to Library by clicking Library on the menu bar next to Home. From there you will see at least one album called NEOfish. There you will see photos that we have used when displaying at the BAP auctions. You can make your own album for your photos or just use this one. Remember that other members will be using this and they could inadvertently delete photos so make sure you keep a backup somewhere else.
Once your in an album, you will see a box to upload photo. You can drag your photo there if you make your photo directory on your computer side by side with your browser. Or just click the drag and drop box and it will open a file folder window so you get go to the location where your photo is located and click on it. It will automatically start to upload.
Now click on the newly uploaded photo.
To test it out I clicked the photo of Tony Poth's OB Peacock. This opens up a new page with just his photo showing. On the right you will see several links for Email and IM, Direct, HTML, and IMG. Click on the Direct link and you should now see that if flashed "Copied". Now that link is in memory.
Go back to your forum post that you started in the forum by select the forum tab in your browser.
In your post, along the top is a button bar. Look for the one for "Insert Image" and click on it. It is right next to the icon of an envelope.
Paste in what is in memory to the Image URL: line. and then click on the insert image button.
You should be in the BBCode tab (look at bottom left hand side of your post. If you select the Preview Tab you will see the picture being displayed.
I hope that helps you to add pictures to your For Sale posts.
